DONNA ROE DANIELL, LCSW
I have been a licensed child and family therapist (LCSW) in private practice in Boulder and Longmont for 15 years. My life’s experience and work has brought me to teaching families, adults, couples and teens how to be present and balanced in themselves to enhance their relationships or attachments with themselves and others. My therapeutic approach is mindfulness and experientially based. I ‘m trained in family systems, movement, art, narrative, sand tray and other experiential approaches. I’ve worked with families across the spectrum experiencing trauma, divorce, grief, transitions, difficult children, gifted children, school issues, explosive children, sensory integration and other developmental issues. I especially enjoy working with women teaching and treating balancing, self-care, eating disorders, menopause, prenatal and postpartum, and parenting.
I am a trained practitioner of the body/mind process called IFS or Internal Family Systems Therapy in which the therapist joins with the client in a collaborative self-transforming healing process. IFS is very effective in creating lasting change and transformation in adults, couples, teens and children. My current work with families and couples centers on coaching “Open-heartedness” or the ability to attune to each other in the moment with love and without judgment to enhance their connection with each other.
