About the Presenter:

David Chernikoff, M.Div., L.C.S.W., has spoken numerous times at Interface over the years. A former yoga teacher who was one of the founders of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, he has worked in a variety of “people-work” settings; as a psychotherapist, trainer, minister, life & business coach, and meditation teacher. David directed hospice programs in New Mexico for several years during the early 1980’s. He then returned to graduate school and studied for an M.Div degree at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. In late 1986, he moved to Nepal where he spent three years as a consultant for the Seva Foundation’s public health ophthalmology program. During that time, he continued the study and practice of meditation under the guidance of a highly respected Tibetan Buddhist teacher. He returned to Colorado in 1990 and since that time has been working in private practice with individuals, couples, and groups. David teaches workshops and retreats throughout the U.S. He is currently a guiding teacher for the Insight Meditation Community of Colorado and on the faculties of Naropa University and the Spiritual Eldering Institute. He lives in Boulder with his wife and daughter. |
