About The Presentation

In this presentation, we look at our night dreams as a kind of internal GPS system that can orient us toward directions for spiritual growth. We examine five stages– Call, Search, Struggle, Breakthrough and Return– illustrated by dreams that reveal psychodynamic elements as well as issues of discernment for seekers on a spiritual path. Discussion also identifies practical methods for work by psychotherapists and pastoral counselors who can use dreams in support of major life transitions.

About the Presenter

Harry (Rick) Moody, Ph.D. Educated at Yale and Columbia, Moody is now retired from his position as Vice President (for Academic Affairs) with AARP in Washington. His book, THE FIVE STAGES OF THE SOUL, has been translated into seven languages worldwide and he is a long-time member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. Moody hosts a monthly “Positive Aging” lunch group and is completing a new book, DREAMS FOR THE SECOND HALF OF LIFE.
